I'm almost at a loss for text. ALMOST.

Jin looks close to the part. Bryan may pass. Aside from the fact that Anna looks like she needs nutri-system, she looks pretty close. Nice hip shot/ending pose BTW. *Homer Simpson drool*

As far as the acting, directing and almost as important: the action.....

....we'll see.

The goatee on Bryan has to go.

I think that they really wanted someone who had the build of Bryan. That would be a hard one to nail.

I swear, every time I look at Anna she gets harsher and harsher.

More Pix.

Cung Lee is Marshall Law (weak)

Another Jin shot.

Luke Goss is Steve Fox (weak) you know who he is...that weird white dude that Hellboy fights in Part 2.

The movie set

The KING OF IRON FIST TOURNAMENT

Here is a closeup of Marian Zapico. She doesn't look quite so rough in the face.

Candace Hillebrand will generate the heat as Nina.

The Kill Bill girl with the kettles on chains is gonna be Ling.

Apparently Lateef Crowder who WAS Eddie Gordo in THE PROTECTOR is going to be Eddie Gordo in the Tekken movie.

But we all knew it was gonna be weaksauce MADASFOK

This looks like the link to ALL SORTS of set photos.

Whoever this guy is, he is on the inside. Apparently the film has wrapped.

Here are some key pics I ripped.

LINK HERE

The dude on the far right is someone I have seen in a lot of "kubg-fu movies." Specifically, he got his neck broken by Jet Li in KISS OF THE DRAGON. I know you remember the scene where the twin guys are kicking Mr. Li through walls, and one of them has this vertical 360 kick to the chest that he does. he lands it the first time and Li busts him the second time...bust his NECK MADASFOK I'm gonna find that clip and link it to this thread, because it is so dope.

To the right again. And the Eddy Gordo that we all hoped would be the Eddy Gordo who we all saw in THE PROTECTOR or TOM GOON JON or whatever it was called.

I know you recognize this fool, and this fool is gonna be Heihachi

TEKKEN THE MOVIE GRIPES FROM AN INSIDER
(don't ask/don't tell lol)

June 3, 2009 - Wednesday
What i think Tekken got wrong so far

ok i am up to here with being the decent guy and now i feel like going a bit evil.I am tired of promoting this movie while Crystal Sky is doing nothing. This blog idea came from a good friend of mine by the name of James.Ok here what i think is wrong wih this Tekken movie.

-No Paul Phoenix,Lei Wulong or King

-It based on the later series rather than starting with Tekken or Tekken 2

-Kara a new character is a possible love interests to Jin

-Since when does Jin need a Trainer, and since when is his trainer Steve Fox

-Steve Fox is 15 years older and is a former champion

-Marshall Law is a bad guy, what happen to his awesome sense of humour that he
shared with Paul Phoenix.

-No funny Paul/Law moments

-Since when is the tekken fights put on television

-Since when does tekken have sportcasters.

-Nina is not Steve mother

-Heihachi Mishima is under investigation for murder

-A Tekken city

-Jun Kazama is murder by Heihachi

-Too much characters

-Where is the ultra cool Hwoarang?

-The teaser poster was lame it was a giant T for fuck Sake

-"After the great wars,Governments fell,7 roses from the ashes,The strongest
of which Tekken"what a lot of bullshit.

-New character Bonner the drug dealer. Now that is just shit.

-The Tekken Zaibatzu is changed to the lame Tekken Corporation.

-Why is all the newer characters in this.

-It based around tekken 3 but there is no Ogre.

http://www.tekkenpedia.com/wiki/Tekken_(2009_Film)
There is a little bit of info on the above page.

This stuff is to drop next month. I haven't heard a PEEP from these people.

Either it is in complete post-production or they have some serious gag orders in place.

They don't even have an official site up yet.

From the Crystal Sky site:

TEKKEN

Based on the long running and highly successful Namco video game franchise of the same name, TEKKEN is a high-octane, action packed thriller written for the screen by Alan McElroy (Spawn, The Marine) and to be directed by Dwight Little (Anacondas, Murder at 1600) with fight choreography tentatively by Dion Lam (Spider-Man 2, Doom, Red Cliff)

Set in 2039, the film promises non-stop high flying action as the greatest fighters from around the world come to compete in the last and greatest sporting event of all time, the Fist Tournament. After World Wars destroy much of civilization as we know it, the remaining territories are no longer run by governments, but by corporations the mightiest of which is Tekken. In order to keep the masses down, Tekken sponsors the Iron Fist Tournament in which fighters compete to the death for ultimate glory and receive a lifetime of stardom and wealth.

We are introduced to this violent world through the eyes of Jin Kazama, a street fighter that enters the tournament in order to avenge the death of his mother that he blames upon Tekken's powerful and controlling Chairman, Heihachi Mishima. He knows that the only way to get close enough to Mishima to kill him is to win the tournament. With the help of Lucas, an ageing Iron Fist Champion and fight trainer, Jin makes his way through the tournament, but in doing so, he begins to uncover his own past and inner demons as well as exposing a dark underbelly to Tekken that threatens the very existence of humanity.

With futuristic and imaginative sets, a compelling story, and fight sequences combining fighting styles from all over the world. TEKKEN is in line to become one of the greatest action films of all time.

You can check it out yourselves:

IGN hit Luke Goss' aforementioned Tekken Party. Here is their take on the trailer:

Tekken is directed by Dwight H. Little (Murder at 1600) and stars Luke Goss, Jon Foo, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Gary Daniels, Ian Anthony Dale, Kelly Overton, Cung Le, and Tamlyn Tomita. Alan B. McElroy (Spawn, Wrong Turn, The Marine) wrote the script, which chronicles Jin Kazama's quest for revenge against Tekken Corporation chairman Heihachi Mishima, the man responsible for the death of his mother. The only way for Jin to get close to Mishima is to enter Tekken's Iron Fist tournament.

IGN hit Luke Goss' after-party after last night's Tekken screening for potential distributors. A teaser trailer for the movie was played on a loop at the event, but it should be noted that this may just have been a promotional reel for would-be buyers and not the final trailer. In either case, it's the first time that the Tekken movie has been exposed to so many people. Here's what the Tekken trailer had to offer:

The following title cards flash at various points throughout the trailer: "One tournament ... decides the fate of millions. ... They fight for power ... They fight for honor ... They fight for pride ... But one man ... fights for revenge. ... Courage fuels him ... Rage drives him."

The trailer opens with a Blade Runner-style flying car soaring over a futuristic city, which has a massive stadium in the center of it. Inside the stadium, a rowdy crowd cheers for the show to begin, their blood clearly up. We see the "Tekken Iron Fist" tournament sign, then shots of fighters in action. We get our first look at goatee-sporting Ian Anthony Dale as Kazuya Mishima, followed by Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Heihachi Mishima (whose countenance also graces giant ads for Tekken on the sides of buildings, with the slogan "Strength Through Order"). We then see a montage of the tournament's different fighters, including Raven, Eddie Gordo, Bryan Fury, Craig Marduk, and Yoshimitsu -- all of whom look very much like their game counterparts. Yoshimitsu's armor seemed like a cross between the versions worn in Tekken 3 and Tekken 6.

Obviously, the emphasis in the Tekken trailer is on fighting, so it's a lot of action shots from tournament matches. There's flipping, punching, kicking -- all the moves you'd expect. At one point a fighter whips a heavy chain around his opponent's head to bring him down. Then we meet our hero, Jin Kazama (Jon Foo), as he runs along the ledges of a building and leaps off, parkour-style. We see him fight in a cage match (reminiscent of Wolverine's introduction in the first X-Men), and his rise up from the streets and into the Iron Fist competition.

Jin meets Steve Fox (Luke Goss), and then the sexy Christie Monteiro (Kelly Overton). Then there's the making-of-a hero montage of Jin in training, pummeling a wooden dummy. More shots of Yoshimitsu. Steve Fox yelling. Kazuya walking bare-chested with a wall of fire behind him. Then we get our hero shot of Jin, now looking exactly like his game counterpart: no shirt, black pants with flames down the right leg, the gauntlets. His look is pretty much dead-on.

We then see Steve Fox in the ring, followed by hot chicks fighting (it may have been Nina vs. Anna Williams, or one of them vs. Christie Monteiro; it all went by too fast to tell). Then we get a Fast and Furious dance club scene with Christie bumping and grinding, then of her and Jin making out. We see Jin battling Bryan Fury (Gary Daniels), with one of Jin's blow causing a sort of energized ripple across Fury's chest. Cut to a shot of guards pulling a distraught Asian woman away (this may have been Jun Kazama, played by Tamlyn Tomita). More fighting shots, now with fighters wielding maces and half-moon axes. It ends with, of course, the Tekken movie logo.

Frankly, the trailer was more impressive than I expected it to be. It certainly looked way better and more polished than Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li and other fighting game movie adaptations. It felt like Mortal Kombat crossed with X-Men and with some of the sexy, hip, urban youth appeal of the Fast and the Furious films. Unlike most other videogame movies, Tekken actually looked like it had something of a budget and that it wasn't made for TV pilot money. Nothing in it looked particularly cheesy or embarrassing, which is kind of remarkable considering how much of the look of the game and its characters it retained. Unlike the recent Street Fighter movie, these characters actually bear a strong resemblance to their game counterparts, but they also don't look dumb or campy or out of place in the world the film's established. (Well, at least as far as I could tell from this trailer.)

The fight scenes looked good and appeared well-crafted; slow-motion and wirework were evident but not overused (again, at least as far as the trailer is concerned). Judging from this footage, Tekken looks like a pretty decent (fighting) game-to-film adaptation. Hell, it looked better than Wolverine and that was released by a major studio. Tekken doesn't have a stateside distributor lined up yet, but it will probably land one soon thanks to its dominance at this year's AFM.

The Tekken Movie dropping next year? There appears to not be a distributor yet and very little official information. I guess a trailer exists but you had to go to the private Tekken Movie Trailer party to see it. Mediasaurs looks like the central repository for information on the movie.
