I saw the trailer a few months ago for this one.
Mykelti Williamson is in this as William T Michaels or something. I would have to say that Mykelti Williamson is one of my favorite actors. When he puts it down, he puts it down hard. He was in HEAT. He was also Bubba in FORREST GUMP.
As someone who has watched every blaxploitation film ever made (try me), I am curious. But the bottom line is that every blaxploitation film ever made pretty much sucks...so I have to wonder how "good" this thing is gonna be.
Will it be SUPERFLY? Probably not. And SUPERFLY is about as good as the genre gets.

This film is brilliant.
If you know your blaxploitation (as I do) you see how deep they are digging to hit all of the right notes.
Superfly is taking a pretty big lampoon in this one, probably because everyone knows it. Fred Williamson is being served up here too, hardcore.
This hit those expectations and it has re-watching value like a mutha...
Review TK.
PS. Malt liquor is no good for your johnson.
